BBC TWO
IDENTS
FEBRUARY 2007 - JUNE 2009

On 18th February 2007, BBC two said goodbye to the yellow world, and instead looked into a "window on the world", or a Two shaped hole cut into things in which the world could be viewed. Most of the initial set of idents lasted until some tweeks were introduced to the set on 18th June 2009, the exceptions being the cappuccino and chase idents.

IDENT - CAPPUCCINO A

One of two versions of the Cappuccino ident, in this one, someone comes along and scoops some foam out with a spoon.

IDENT - CAPPUCCINO B

The second of the two Cappuccino idents, in this one two lumps of sugar are dropped in.

IDENT - CHASE A

One of five variations of the "chase" ident, unfortunately, this is the only version I have, in which a man is chased by a dog and some other men through the "two" shaped hole.

IDENT - MIRROR

A mirror on a car is the star of this ident, in which we see the reflections of what's behind. Video A is the original version with the "sombre" music and Video B has a more upbeat soundtrack.

IDENT - SNOW/MOUNTAIN TENT

There are three versions of the tent ident, each one involves the tent door being unzipped to reveal the scene outside, in this case, a wintry, snowy mountain scene.

IDENT - BEACH TENT

Another version of the tent ident, this time it's dusk down at the beach.

IDENT - FESTIVAL TENT

The third ident has the tent a festival campsite.

IDENT - SUNROOF

The "window" in this ident is actually a sunroof, and we see the sky and trees above through it.

STING - SUNROOF

A rarely seen sting version of the sunroof ident.

IDENT - SEASCAPE

We pass through a two shaped hole in some wood on the seashore, as a wave crashes through.

IDENT - ZEOTROPE

We see a futuristic world through a zeotrope with "two" shaped holes.

IDENT - FOOTBALL TAGGING

Someone runs up to a football and uses a spays "graffiti" on it using a "two" shaped stencil.
