IDENTS
NOVEMBER 2001 - FEBRUARY 2007
   
From 19th November 2001, BBC Two introduced a new look, with the "2" becoming a character within it's own yellow world. The idents lasted until 2007, with the last idents being broadcast on 17th February that year.

IDENT - BOUNCE

 

 

The 'two' bounces around the yellow world. Video A is the short version. Video B os the 'sombre version with different music.

   

IDENT - DOMINO

 

 

The 'two's' line up ready to fall over in the classic domino style, only for the first 'domino' to fall the wrong way. Long Version is Video A, short version is Video B.

   

IDENT - FISH

 

 

 

A shoal of fish investigate the two which has foudn itself underwater. This is the reveresed version of the ident introduced around January 2002, initally when introduced, the 'two' faces the oposite direction.

   

IDENT - LOGO

 

 

The 'two' notices something amis, and decides to correct it by turning the BBC Two logo the correct way around. Video A is the long version, Video B the short version.

   

IDENT - CHRISTMAS TREE

 

 

 

The first Christmas ident of the set, fist shown on 21st December 2001. The 'two' reveals a fairy in it's hand which creates a sparkling chrismas tree. Ident was also used for Chritmas between 2002 and 2005.

IDENT - DIRT

 

 

The fist of the second batch of idents to appear, the 'two' spots a speack of dirt on the screen, and cleans it off. First appeared February 2002.

IDENT - DRIP

 

 

The 'two' gets dripped on, and despite trying to move out of the way, still manages to get dripped on again. Long version is Video A, short version Video B.

   

IDENT - INVISIBLE WALLS

 

 

The 'two' passes through an invisible wall, which transports it to somewhere else within it's environment.

IDENT - FORMATION

 

 

A bit of accrobatics now, with one two being catapulted to the top of a formation, all balanced on a ball.

IDENT - REMOTE

 

 

The 'two' finds a remote control, and having a fiddle, finds out what it controls...
